About Us
Our
Story
Welcome.

Kids Who Breathe was founded by students who live in different continents but who share the same story.
We (Rohan and Taanvir) spent our childhoods in New Delhi - infamously the world’s most polluted capital city. We attended Vasant Valley school and were part of the amazing class of 2023 (still unofficially are!). But air quality in Delhi kept getting worse until it changed the course of our lives, and we both moved away, to different continents in fact.

Our experience of extreme health effects from air pollution is not at all unique. This is a crisis playing out in many cities around the world, and young people are especially badly affected because of our unique breathing patterns, growing physiologies, etc. In fact, the damage starts even before children are born - they attribute 1 million still births each year to air pollution, and that's just in India.

During COVID, the idea for Kids Who Breathe was born. We hope to play a small role in helping children deal with the situation as it is, and hopefully change the narrative so that someday we live in a world with cleaner air. As athletes, we know what its like to play outside while struggling to breathe. We will hope many of you will join our tribe and get involved to be part of the solution to this global problem.

If you're curious about our name – Kids Who Breathe. Well, we wanted to drive home the point that this is affects all of us. So, if you’re a kid, and if you breathe, join us. Lets help make clean air a reality!
